Webinar on High-Fidelity Implementation of the PSA

Free training on August 11.

Advancing Pretrial Policy and Research is presenting a free webinar about its newly released Guide to High-Fidelity Implementation of the Public Safety Assessment. Join APPR experts in quality assurance and fidelity to learn how to use the fidelity guide effectively. The webinar will be on Wednesday, August 11, from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. ET.

Advance registration is required. The deadline to register is Friday, August 6.

About the Training

Fidelity assessment is crucial to identify deficiencies that could threaten successful implementation of the Public Safety Assessment (PSA). The fidelity guide was designed for use by jurisdictions that have implemented the PSA or are in the process of doing so. The value of conducting a fidelity assessment is in finding and addressing flaws for the purpose of continuous quality improvement.

The webinar will review the guide, highlight the potential threats to fidelity at each phase of implementation, and explain how to effectively use the fidelity checklists and conduct fidelity assessments.
It is consistent with one of APPR’s core principles: that pretrial assessment, policies, and practices that are grounded in rigorous research and refined through ongoing performance measurement offer the greatest promise for success.
